The redevelopment will increase capacity by 50% to 18 million by 2020 and deliver a more efficient and enjoyable experience for passengers. 2016 was the most successful year in LLA's long history. Passenger numbers increased by 18.5% to 14.5 million, we welcomed more airlines, added dozens of new routes and embarked on an ambitious redevelopment. The findings come from a new report into the airport’s economic impact, published by independent consultancy Oxford Economics.
